On Sunday, September 25, at Peaselburg Park, Simpson 4 Covington is launching its outreach campaign to heighten awareness about the critical needs of students of Covington Ind. Schools and how electing Kareem Simpson to its school board can help. The outreach campaign will feature a series of “Walk & Talk” events where campaign volunteers will talk over a Covington neighborhood to get the word out about the Simpson 4 Covington Campaign. Event begins at 1pm.
“I believe that our school board must strive for excellence while being responsive and receptive to parents, staff, students and the community at large, encouraging an open dialog,” Simpson said.
“A Board member is a trustee of the community that elects him or her. That Trustee must be accessible and willing to collaborate with all members of the community. That’s why I feel that these outreach events will help the community to be heard and help to bring forth public understanding, support and participation.”
